My Harmon Kardon is on its last leg I had it for 7 or 8 years now and it started to shut down and sometimes I get no picture. So I went shopping and found a Pioneer VSX-1017K. for under $400 buck and its THX certified. I was going to order it from amazon but they take to long to ship so I got it at Newegg. Im not going to spend for new speakers, TV, or a blueray player. I just also got a new HD DVR from Direct TV and I can record 2 channels on HD. so this reciver will work properly with it. Im loving watching NBA and F1 in HD. makes everything look so nice.

I didnt want to buy a new receiver. I love the HK and would buy the new HK but the silver front is just gay! Yamaha are nice and the Onkio but they are so over priced.

i think its funny how we have to spend money in order to fix the economic mess bush put us in.
